Carina Dahl is the name of a Swedish debutant on the International music scene!

Carina Dahl had a somewhat special childhood – as daughter to one of the leaders in an MC gang, she grew up in their nest just outside Trondheim in Norway until adolescence. Music was however a large part of Carina Dahl’s daily life, since her father was also a member of one of Norway’s legendary hard rock bands. She was constantly backstage, on smaller tours, in recording studios etc. and mingled at an early age with artists such as Dee Snider, Mötley Crue, Alice Cooper, Europe, Smokie and others… This has of course inspired her and can explain her ambitions and “fast forward” attitude.

A few years ago, Carina Dahl decided to move to Stockholm, Sweden, to create an artistic and musical career from here and the last few years she has spent writing music, recording demos and improve her guitar playing. Her musical universe is colored by artists such as Sheryl Crow, Patsy Cline, Dixie Chicks,Tom Petty, Taylor Swift and Gwen Stefani. The album was recorded in the Stargate Studio and produced by Sigbjorn Holmslett and Hallgeir Rustan, the latter has had over 40 top 10 in England with artists such as Blue/Elton John, Mariah Carey, Samanta Mumba, Atomic Kitten among others. Carina Dahl’s live band consists however of musicians from Stockholm.

The music on Carina Dahl’s debut album, HOT CHILD, is somewhere in the landscape between Pop and Rock with a little touch of Country. The first single from the album is the song SCREW, and it’s actually one of the more calm songs, a slightly ironic and painful goodbye to an unreliable boyfriend.

Carina Dahl will rock your world with her melodious songs and meaningful lyrics – an incredible discharge of energy and will to impress and sometimes provoke… a Hot Child, in other words!
